Private Adaptive Swimming Lessons
Children and young adults with special needs often need some special help to learn water safety and to gain swimming skills. Swimming can support sensory and emotional regulation, relax muscles with hypertonia, and allow muscle strengthening and motor skill acquisition in a gravity eliminated setting. Individual lessons taught by a licensed occupational therapist will be customized to meet the needs of swimmers with a range of diagnoses including but not limited to autism, cerebral palsy, Down’s syndrome, and genetic disorders.
